Software engineer

I build for iPhone, the web, and the backend.

Computer engineering student, iOS and backend developer. I take ideas from a blank file to something shipped, signed and live — most recently Maporize, a geography game on the App Store.

About

How I got here.

I'm a Computer Engineering student at Mugla Sitki Kocman University. I care about software that is technically solid and genuinely pleasant to use — the two are usually the same problem seen from different sides.

My route in wasn't straight. I started in Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Dokuz Eylul University before moving to Computer Engineering, which matched what I actually enjoyed building. Since then I've gone from keeping university labs exam-ready, to writing a macOS network-access agent in Swift at S3M Security, to building modern applications as a Software Engineering Intern at Nabusoft Digital Solutions in Istanbul.

Away from the day job I'm drawn to systems programming, information retrieval and natural language processing. I like understanding what software does underneath, and using that to build things that are fast, maintainable and finished.
